The idea behind such components selection:
 - Keeping driver sound signature solid (alu dome, alu mid and paper/almost kevlar woofer)
 - Wide dispersion: 0.75" dome, 2" midrange and 6.5" woofer should give really wide, solid and smooth dispersion.
 - Low distortion - all the drivers have remarkably low distortion figures, as can be seen on John's website.
 - Cheap. Yes, cheap - all these drivers are bargains for their performance.
